| I picked one up today at Thorne's annual sale. I like to throw Suicks and Rock Hoppers, and this looked similar.
What I am wondering is what is it made of? It doesn't feel like wood or plastic? My guess is that it is made with wood, but tons of clear coat over the paint.
Does anyone know for sure? |

| I've got a couple of those myself. Great lures, well built.
Only thing I don't like about them is that you can't easily replace the hooks.
I thought for sure they were made of old hockey sticks, but I could be wrong

| Love these baits!I've found that replacing all 3 hooks with shorter shank hooks is crucial when adding rings.Much louder bait then too, kinda like a suick.Whitefish pattern. Yum. Steve |

| They used to sell the replacement wire that runs through the lure. Split rings work OK as well but do go with at shorter shanked hook.
I have a bucket full of these and have been using them for years. They are pretty indestructable and real fish getters.

Location: Tomahawk, Wisconsin | Great Baits, been using em for years, if it came down to using a dive jerk this bait gets the call in my boat and they are made of wood. I have some with spinners and some without, maybe a little more attraction with em but they do tend to tangle as well. |

Location: Passaic, NJ - Upper French River, ON | Like the Wade's weighted version, better than the weighted suicks. At slower retrieves and on a pause, they just seem to keep the action going better, and hold their depth. Whitefish, Walleye and Fire/Ice are awesome colors. |

| He actually made three versions
the plain like is pictured
The wisc model which came with the two little tail spinners
and the Thorne bros model which had a sparsley tied bucktail on the back hook,
Some people swear by the Thornes or bucktail model because when the lure backs up on the pause the hair comes back in the following fishes face and triggers them, also can load it up with scent, he dosent market these anymore but will do them on request,All of the best fishermen I know love this bait, I have yet to figure this one out |

| Actually, you can replace hooks.
Pick up some 1/16" brass wire at just abou any welding shop.
