Anyone out there using Amsoil products for their two-stroke. If so, how do you like it?

Have heard some nice comments from a guy who's using it in his 200EFI. He claims, smoother idle and take off, less smoke.

I am a firm believer in sythentics in my autos...never tried it in two stroke.

Appreciate any help.

I have and will continue to use Amsoil in both my snowmobile and my dirt bike (both 2 strokes). I guess I don't notice any difference with idle, power, or smoke since its the only oil I use but I would say that to this day I've had no problems related to it and haven't heard any complaints from others I know who use it.

The 100:1 Premix Amsoil is the best 2-stroke oil I've run. Run it at 85:1 for some extra lube and it still idles smoother, starts easier, and fouls less than anything else. Would have to guess the injector oil is the same way.

After using it, going to synthetic in the truck, too.

have heard its possible it will void warranty. I myself will only reccomend motor branded oils, i.e. Quicksilver, bombardier, yamaha, honda, nissan....etc..... These oils are made specifically for your motor, amsoil oil is only for "all 2 strokes"

I have run Amsoil in a few different engines without any issue. The only thing you need to make sure of is that with any oil it is TCW-3 compliant. Amsoil goes beyond this with the additives, and with the mixture, you get less smoke, nice idle, and no bogging down. I have been using it for break in of a new motor.

Your owners manual will probably state that you use their oil since it is specificially designed for that particular motor, but in my opinion, that is a ploy to get you to buy their products. If it is TCW-3 compliant, you are fine.

Now that fleet farm has it in gallon jugs, I will continue to get it.

Pennzoil is tcw3 compliant yet I know of three outboards that had engine failures because of oil. I would be carefull and check with engine manufacture before using it as to if your engine will be covered by the warranty if you are running amsoil and it blows...

Amsoil is the best oil I've ever used both in my Yamaha 2 stroke and in my Honda 4 stroke. I also use their lower unit lube and their bearing lube. Best stuff on the market in my opinion.
