Posts: 2361 | My list of baits that I am too cheap to buy and yet still want to try out, is getting longer and longer. If anybody dies this year and wants to will me ANY of the baits on this list, please feel free to do so, or if any manufacturer wants to supply me with a free sample, I will forward my snail mail adress pronto! 1. Hang ten manta Six ounces of questionable need here. Have heard just enough positive to want to get one and fiddle with it myself. Everytime one gets up on the trade or sell board, somebody picks it off before I get it, or they want more than $6... 2. 5.5 power probe. I used to throw the little predator jerk bait. Very sorry they quit making the small size, it was incredible. The little power probe looks like it would be a great bait for what I do. I love the pink color in Rollie and Helens new catalogue. Doggone they are expensive buggers. Waaaaaaaaaayyy toooooooooo cheeeeeeeeeap for this one. Anybody feeling close to death? 3. Grease jr. Waited years for a TR Twitcher to fall into my hands, and have given up on that ever happening, might be able to mug somebody and get one of these. Don't have any idea whether they work or not, but I am suspicious I could make them work. #4 Musky Innovations "Super Freak" 11" topwater jointed minnow. Probably the least likely of all to get to work, but the one that exites me the most. I could visuallize this bait catching really big muskies for me. Probably looks like a stick coming through the water, but it just looks possible. Being plastic, I will probably have to send it to Jason Long if it doesn't work. Anybody seen this one in the water? How many wives are already mad at Rollie and Helens for sending out a full color catalogue? I can just feel the current of money checks and credit cards being washed from everyone's pocket as they anticipate the new season. I think full color was really playing dirty...;-)

Posts: 32958 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I do not read catalogs, especially the R&H catalog. It isn't worth the time for me, because..... I only live 1/2 hour away!!!! FSF, let me know which other baits you want me to go fondle, and I'll even take pictures.

| FSF -- I don't have any of those to trade you but I'll give ya 1 pint of fresh homemade guacamole to eat while fishing with your old lures ! Just got back from Florida keys-- my 9 year girl nailed a 5ft black tip shark on spinning tackle, was a sight to see. Was snapper fishing with 12-15 lb test and a small piece of ballyhoo. Posts: 2361 | Very funny Sworrall, I don't want you fondling any baits for me. What I do want, is for you to bring Slamr in, have him create a disturbance(type casting for sure) and while they are distracted, lift one each of those four for me, just one each, but heck, if you wear your big coat, get a couple each... ManDan I still have you on my list for Green River whenever you are ready. I have actually been up to Cave twice this spring. Usually don't go up there until the weeds are growing. | ||
