Location: Wausau | I am looking to upgrade my locaters on the dash and the front of my boat as well as add a GPS unit. I don't want to put a second morgage on my home but I want some nice stuff, what do you all recomend?

Location: Pittsburgh, PA | Check out the Humminbird Matrix units. Depending upon the features they start around 180 and up. You can buy one gps receiver, a couple extra cables and run it to both units. Or if you have a hand held gps, you can connect that to the locater. I currently have a Matrix 17 on the bow and a 47 3d on the console.

Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | I like the Lowrance X-125's and higher. You can't go wrong there.
I used the Lowrance X-67 C last year, it was sweet. You might want to look into that.

Location: Wausau | How are the Eagle products? I am looking at a 480 fishmark for the dash and a 320 Fishmark for the Front of the boat. Will this be an OK set? |

Location: Athens, Ohio | there was a chat a year or so ago with a rep from Lowrance who indicated that Eagle was L's 'off-brand', so I'd guess from that you'd get the same quality with a reduced price. m |

Location: Chicago, Beverly | Yep, Eagle is the Lowrance brand you will find in your regular retail stores and catalogs where as Lowrance units tend to be sold through Marinas and some catalogs. I would try and stick with a Lowrance one over the Eagle anyways... |
