| I'm curious to get your thoughts on 2-piece rods, as I'm currently looking at an 8'6" bucktail rod that only comes as a 2-piece. The blank is a Diamondback, if that makes difference. Thanks for your help.

Location: Anchorage | Haven't used any 2-piece rods for skis, but for salmon I've had no problem with them. You shouldn't have any trouble if you check the ferrals every couple hours to make sure they're secure and tight. A quality blank like a Diamondback is always good. |

| The 2-pc. rods I have are now 1pc. as I expoxied them together. I know it defeats the purpose but its a durability/confidence thing for me. And the long lenghts still fit in my boat and truck!
