| Hey folks,
Due to our lovely Governor in the state of Illinois who has cut the funding to our DNR in half, our local fisheries biologist can't even get a new outboard for his boat. He said there is no money available from the state now through the DNR
Our Chapter of Muskies, Inc, the Shawnee Muskie Hunters is having a tournament to raise money to buy our biologist, Shawn Hirst, a new outboard. Shawn is an awesome biologist who really loves muskies, and is doing everything in his power to keep Lake Kinkaid's muskie program going!!! This tournament is March 19th and 20th.
Some of us are not able to attend the tournament due to various reasons, including the Extreme Muskie Show that weekend. For those of us that want to contribute to this WORTHY cause, I have set up a fundraiser on my websites message board. Already several people have donated. Go to www.chadcain.com under the "Fishing Reports and Discussions", and the post is called "Mid-March Tourney". Many thanks in advance to anyone who is kind enough the donate to this!!

Gary Dew , the president of shawnee muskie hunters, is in charge of buying the motor. To my knowledge he has already worked out the details and is purchasing a new evinrude 60 horse 4-stroke.
I am planning on fishing the tournament with a friend from the fox river valley chapter. My partner and I have talked about donating all the money we win in the tournament. Even if we do not win in the money bracket more $$$ will be donated.
Thanks Chad for jumping on this worthy cause. The members of muskie Inc and the local community thank you.
