Just thought I'd post these new Crane baits I recently bought...I'm dissappointed that the picture doesn't do them justice...they are beautiful...can't wait until the water opens up to give them a try...

Looks like Mark Smiths (Smuttly) work to me, very nice as everything he touches is.

If that picture doesen't do them justice...they must be incredible!!!
Those straight ones look sweet,
The jointed ones look sweeter!!!

Chico is right...they were painted by Mark Smith...I got them from a smaller baitshop in Wisconsin...last time I heard he had 6 custom colors in the 306 jointed and 6 in the 208 straight baits...I don't know if he would want me to post their information here...email or pm me ... unless you are BenR who made fun of me for not attaching the picture correctly on my initial post LOL...just kidding...they are truly beautiful baits...there is enough clear coat on them to make them nearly indestructible...

The shop that has these baits is Kurts Island Sport Shop in Minoqua, WI. His phone number is 715-356-4797. he is also in the process of adding 2 new colors. Cisco and Sparkle Black.

Thanks, Mark....I emailed Kurt to see if he minded if I posted his contact information...I hadn't heard back from him yet...these are incredible looking baits...Will you continue painting these custom Crane baits, or is this a limited offering? Also, are you open to doing custom painting on an individual basis as well? Hope things are going well in Charleston,

Matt,
I will be doing these for as far as I can see into the future.. I consider it an honor to be doing it at all. Glad that everyone seems to like them. "FYI" The baits come to me painted white with one coat of finish on them. I paint them and then put two more coats of finish on them. So they are triple coated. Only thing that would stop me from painting them would be selling too many of my own baits. Which are moving well at the present time. Thanks, Mark

Mark, can you get away with showing us a few of your own baits? Do you make any that will troll at 5-6 mph?
thanks

Lobi,
I only make jerkbaits. I do however make deep running jerkbaits which you can troll at maybe 3 MPH. They have 2 line ties so you can troll them or cast them. Don't know if it is kosher to post the picks on here.? Thanks, Mark

Mark,

Interested in seeing some of your Smuttly's. Have heard about them, but haven't located any on the websites of the major retailers, Thorne's, Pastikas, etc. How can I see some? Thanks.

Found the link to your baits. You're down in WV. Nice looking baits.
