Location: Syracuse, Indiana |
I have some Jakes that leak. I remember reading instructions somewhere for filling them with foam. Please point me to those instructions. I know there is more than one chamber to fill. Where do you drill holes? Any help is appreciated.
|

Location: In the slop! | Here is a picture of a Jake cutaway, if I can get it to work. You need to drill two holes in each chamber you want to fill. One to fill, one for air to escape. Seal with epoxy when done.

Location: S.W. WI | I just drilled holes in sides, one side(front and back) one in the other side center and sprayed some "great stuff" in and allow to ooze out and wipe and trim. When dried cover w/epoxy. seems to work ok.
p.s. do all your baits at once since that stuff is usually a one time use per can. |

Location: Pulaski, WI | Do you weight them or anything to determine how much to foam them - or is that more the approach to use if you are weighting them?
Also what about using salad oil in them?
I'd like to hear about all the different mods before deciding how to modify a few of my Jakes.
Thanks,
John |
