Hey folks. Have you guys heard about the new upgraded calcutta for 2005? I was checking it out on Shimanos website. Looks good. I wonder if they got rid of that plastic thumbbar? I'm also curious to see what the cost will be.

I was on the Shimano web site and I was excited about the new Calcutta B. The Calcutta Ct400 is my favorite and I was glad to see the new one is going to have a higher gear ratio and the larger handles like the TEs. I plan on buying one when they come out in March.

Any idea if they will make it in a left handed cranking version?

Hi All,
The new Calcutta's will also have the Lo-Mass Drilled Spool System, A-RB (Anti Rust Bearings), Quick Take Down like the TE's do, Assist Stopper, oversized SV Power Grips and will retail @ $219.99
As of now, I have not heard anything on a CT401B yet.
