Subject: Trolling Believers

I was reading a earlier post about Believers turning over and comming to the surfece. I have found that a 1oz. bell sinker attached to the front splitring on a 10 inch, and a half or three quarter on a 8 inch makes a big difference. One more thing I do is replace the short shank rear hook so that it come past the end of the lure. Most of the time trolled lures are hit from behind and you want that hook clear. Doug Johnson does the sinker thing for casting, I can't take credit for it.
