Subject: New to muskie...need help

I am new to this site and I must say it is a great place for the beginning musky fisherman to start. I have muskie fished one week and we caught two (45" and 37"). I am going to Canada the third week of August and will be fishing Crow Lake and LOTW (Whitefish Bay and Stevens Bay). If someone could give me some pointers on where to start looking for musky on these lakes and an idea of what the fish will be hitting this time of year, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
AEK

Whitefish is HUGE!! I have fished it alot, and look for main lake reefs, shoreline and island related bays wtih popples( aspens, as in trees!) in the back end and/or along the shore, as weeds will be there. Surface baits, bucktails, and spinnerbaits in the reeds/weeds, and make long casts, staying back from the edge. The water is pretty clear there in most places. Good luck!
