Anyone know how far down these go at say 3mph with various line lengths out?? Thanks for any input!

MH, Long-lining with #80 about 7' maybe a hair more once in awhile if ripping while trolling, just in a holder I seem to run about 4/5'. This is a very under-utilized bait that is a very good hooker too!

Ditto what handyman said!

I get less depth because I'm running shorter lines. Great for running over weed beds at 2 - 3 feet down.

Long Lining? I'm fairly new to trolling...so maybe 60 feet back it will go 7'??

thanks!

100 to maybe 120' I would consider long-lining!

I will admit, I first bought a sledge a few years ago and I did not like it so I sold it. I purchased another one over the winter with some ideas in mind to modify it. I decided to try it once again as it is out of the package and realized I should have never sold the first one. The bait really likes to be moved fast, something I did not do the first time around. I really like it and will buy some more and put them in my trolling arsenal as well. Nice bait.

Todd, I guess we're in the same boat. The first sledge I got I had no idea what to do with it, so I traded it and the lucky recipient went out and got almost a dozen fish on it by now. I now own three and one shortie and after getting Sledge lessons from Mauser I have a much better idea of what I'm working with. A deadly bait for sure. I hear they can slow troll the unweighted sledges, too, nice side to side action that sure does catch fish. m

The best part about trolling this bait is that you can go much faster then 3mph. Just a hint.
