Posts: 32958 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Sue scored a nice doe, and I a nice buck. We had a great weekend! No fishing for us during deer season, ask Thhedz why. How'd you do out on the Muskie waters of the world last weekend?

Posts: 2515 Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | Ghoti and I tried Big lake and West bay of the Cisco chain without seeing a #*^@ thing other than our breath. So we went up to Tenderfoot and the only thing we saw up there was snow. We tried humps and saddles in 20-30 fow with no success, marked alot of bait fish and fish off the bottom, but could'nt get anything to take our Suckers or DDD's.

Posts: 354 | I fished for 5 hours on Saturday afternoon. I drifted with a sucker and casted bulldawgs and a triple d/depthraider. Not even a sniff. It was still a nice time fishing the entire lake by myself. Saw a lot of nice ducks moving through the area. I cleaned and put my boat away yesterday. My fishing partner upon his return from the great deer slaying of 2005 would like to take his rig to Pewaukee for one last day later this week. I haven't ever fished Pewaukee and we plan on trolling or maybe drifting with some meat out. Does anyone know if that Smokey's place will stay have sucker's this week? We will be coming down I43 and if you have suggestions for the best driving directions let me know. Bill C. aka the greenduck Edited by greenduck 11/22/2004 9:01 AM

Location: Des Moines IA | Fished the Fox Chain this weekend.... Marie , Channel and Catherine ...... Draggin meat and casting.... Not even a follow... tried to stay in 10 - 15 FOW.... did a little trolling on Channel in 20 FOW ..... Water is still 47 ...... Looks good for atleast a week I hope... Haven't put the boat away yet ..... I used a Bucher quick strike rig.... and it seemed not to work to well... the lip hook isn't attatched to the leader it just slides up and down on the leader the only hook attatched to the leader was the one at the back so even at half speed on the trolling motor the sucker would do the twist ... Round and round... twisted my line like you wouldn't believe... Something tells me the lip hook needs to be attatched to the leader so the sucker is being pulled from the nose.... not the tail .... anybody else notice this? have any remedies?........ Tight Lines, Mike

Posts: 194 Location: Southwest PA | We had the sponge plate (that GRichard won at the Cave Run outing) with us. GRichard hasn't been taking it and when I found that out, I made him bring it along and look what we landed!

Posts: 686 Location: Tomahawk, Wisconsin | I need therapy now that the boat is in the process of winterization! I was out on a area lake on Sat. with Slim and his dad and we managed a 37 and saw a few others but no brutes. I went out on Sun. and popped a 41 in the same general area that I call the corner. That corner has produced a good dozen fish this year, it is a spot on the spot, now I guess I will be relegated to shore fishing till seasons end, what a fantastic year it has been!!

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | Deer hunted on Sat and sunday with dad. 9 pointer and a big doe on the pole so I fished on monday. Cracked 34 and 43"ers. Hopefully ice holds off for another day or two for me to get out, but with the weather, I may be in trouble. Time to get the pike rigs ready!
