OK, I'm probably the only guy here who has never used a Believer...

I'm thinking about adding more cranks to the mix so....can someone elaborate on the difference between the Drifter Believer and the Best Swim Whizz?

I not sure what year but they added rattles to Believers. They have deep ones like in the 10 inch Jake and others with BBs. I prefer the deep rattles.

I use both. Prefer them with rattles also.. I almost never throw the Believer without rattles...

I've run both the believers and the swim whizz baits. I like both, but for some reason my Swim Whizz's have a lot more teeth marks than my believers. Both baits have great colors patterns to chose from but Swim Whizz's are cheaper....which is nice. Both are great baits.

mainly the only difference is that swim whizz's don't have rattles, I maybe see that they wobble a little differently also.
So many things you can do with them.

I have an 8" jointed Swim wizz that casts ok, but will not troll. I just rolls over and comes to the surface even at very slow trolling speeds. Is there a trick to get them to stay under water?

I used a Swim Whizz this year on LOTW for a whole day bouncing rocks. My buddy used a Believer.

I brought up 13 fish that day and boated a 46". He only raised 4.

Many factors including, speed, color, etc. obviously factor in, but due to that day, Swim Whizz gets my vote !!!

I always carry both, sometimes they want the rattles, sometimes they don`t. With these baits color is of less importance to me compared to rattles/ vs. non-rattles!

Also, I forgot to mention I was using a jointed model and he was using straight model.

I think the clacking of the jointed had more affect on the fish than the rattles in his.

Hey Grass, have you tried tuning the eyes on your bait, usually when it rolls out to one side you bend the eye in the opposite direction or the direction you want the bait to

run towards. sometimes it doesn't matter what you do, they just won't run straight. Also look at where the hooks/split rings are attatched, essentially the eye screws,

make sure they are perfectly straight with the bait, if they are turned just a little bit to the side this will throw your bait to on side or another.

I agree with handy that it is day to day.  i like the action on the swim whiz better than the beleiver though on the jointed ones.  I seem to be able to get them deeper at a slower speed than the beleiver.

I guess I will have to give my vote to the swim whizz. I can get twice the speed out of whizz's when trolling verses a beliver. over 75% of my fish over fifty inches came on them in the last five years. I guess they are kind of my go to bait. also I have a page on my web site of just swim whizz fish. for those that likr rattles swim whizz also has rattle models in the none jointed if that is what you like but I like the jointed ones.

My favorite is the Swim Whizz. And I fish these baits alot. That being said, I had a hook hanger break on a brand new one with a fish at boatside this past weekend.
