Location: lansing, il | hitting norhtern wisc, this weekend (vilas/onieda) temps today are supposed to be in the 50s by tomorrow and thru the weekend 30s. what type of situation would you put yourself in? deep clear water? shallow stained? depths to target? do you think that the drastic cold front will have an effect on the fishing or because were into the late fall period the fish wont be effected? just looking for some general input, no gps coordinates or givin up a hot spot required!!! |

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | This situation sounds like big fish to me. Throw in the new moon and some big girls should be strapping on the feed bag. As far as lake choice, I would start on the lake you know most intimately with big fish in it. In my opinion, now is not the time to search for numbers. Concentrate on the steep breaking stuff, especially the steep breaking shores if there are cisco present.
This is shaping up to be a home run weekend and my trolling motor is in the shop!
