I know how you could "start" looking....Call the Minnesota DNR most likely the Branard office,, they sign off on Tourneys and ask them if a tournament permit has been filed for the Simply fishing classic,,,Its all public information anyway,,,That way you will narrow down if its in Minn or not

why dont you call the Simply Fishing office directly? I'm sure they will give you whatever straight answer they can give.

His website claims it is scheduled for the 14th through the 18th, September 2005.

But no mention yet of where? He also says he is having 2 ProAm Tourny's during
the year? Should be interesting to see where they will be and how much to enter?

I sent an email and will report anything I find out.

Yup... Bob's got the date set but no location.

Perhaps he's waiting for a permit? Have the 2005 permits been issued YET for MN?

usually within a month Nov to mid Dec in Minnesota,,Henry Drews is the DNR person who has in the past been the person to rubberstamp all permit appications,,,Minnesota DNR's ph number is 651 -296 6157,,call and ask for his ph number and email,,This is how I found out last year when I put it on the web boards,,,

What will happen to this tourny and the Mike James if Minnesota's DNR decides not to allow Judge Boat tourny's up there any more?

I talked with a DNR Fisheries person the other day and Bob has applied for a pertmit for Vermilion for 2005. That doesn't mean for sure that it will be there though.
