Hey guys!! Hope ya'll are in good health. On October 2nd, I am putting on a muskie tournament on Lake Minnetonka for Make-A-Wish Foundation. This is NOT a payout tournament. All of the money goes to help these terminally ill children go on their wishes. The tournament entry fee is $150 per person or $400 for a boat of three. This will be considered a tax writeoff. There will be a free repo for the biggest muskie caught by FiberTech Reproductions and there will be plaques made by the Make-A-Wish kids. There will also be a lot of prizes and a silent auction. Sponsors include: Gander Mountain, Ranger Boats, Waste Management, and Muskies Inc., just to name a few. So come on, muskie guys! Join us on October 2nd!! For any of you that are fishing the PMTT Tonka and have any questions, I'll be there!!

I met the district manager from Savage, Mn at an Athletes in Action banquet. He thought that it was a very good idea. Since the money went to a good cause, he donated the money.

Libby,

Looks like I will be able to fish the tournament. I have a nephew who qualifies for Make-A-Wish. He goes in to start getting ready for his second bone marrow transplant today. I will get some more info from you at the North Metro meeting tonight.

Hey MuskyNut! You can send the check to us. Of course, make the check out to Make-A-Wish of MN. But, as the days are winding down to the tourney, we are in contact with MAW 24/7 so we can give your check to them. Thanks much.

Hey Everyone,

If you can't make it down for the tournament, you can still support this cause. They are having a silent auction at the awards at 3:00. I talked to Tim last night, and will hopefully be getting a list of items that will be auctioned off. I heard they had some 50 yard line tickets to the vikes in the auction. Please consider getting down to Maynards at 3:00. Oh, and for anyone who wants more info on the tournament here is a link to the pdf on the Make-A-Wish site.: http://www.wishmn.org/images/Libby.pdf

Libby's Make a Wish tournament is a great reason to fish for another toothy critter (other than walleyes)! Kudos to Tim and Libby, who have put in a lot of time and effort to provide this venue to help a very worthy cause.

I've only been on Minnetonka once fishing for bass, but can't wait fish this tournament with my wife and daughter to hopefully put them on a musky.

I'll be there with my musky rods, Ranger Boat, and my new Verado to donate a few bucks to Make a Wish.

Lindy Fishing Tackle will also be donating a couple of M/G Musky Tandem spinnerbaits for the auction.

See you there...

Here is what I got from Libby.

There are two sets of $90 Vikings tickets that are really really good seats. We also have some Fig Rig rods, a marine band radio, and some Ranger wear. So it is really good stuff. We need some other things though.
