Location: Shoreview, MN | Lately every time I've been out there's been a strong, warm wind out of the south and I've been skunked. Doesn't seem to matter which lake. My notes from past years suggest similar patterns/struggles this time of year when the wind is coming out of the south. Maybe something to due with the warmer temp in the fall? Any suggestions? I usually fish the wind-blown sections - shallow areas with topwaters and tails, and the deep edges with cranks. |

Location: Hugo, MN | Hasn't been a problem for me maybe it's the areas you are fishing or the baits. I have found tails, and jerks to be the best around this time.
ps we're fishing in the same waters.

Location: Alexandria, MN | I have had success with a south wind too.
Try making a few changes to size, color or style of lure? If this pattern has
haunted you for multiple seasons, there is a flaw in your presentation.
I also fish your same waters, TC Metro Lakes -- Which one(s) do you fish, and
where have you seen this south wind problem.
Maybe I can point you towards areas on those lakes where I have caught fish in
these conditions.
