Heading up north in a few weeks..just wondering how everyone likes the squirrelly jakes? or if the straight model is preferred.

The only difference I have seen is the Squirrelly Jake has one less treble hook. I throw the Squirrelly Jake but also believe that the toughest thing about Muskie fishing is getting hooks into them. Your decision.

Personally, I think the tail kills the awesome wobble action a little. For me I prefer the straight model.

Thanks for input. I think I'll stick with the straight model. Time to head up to Gander and get a couple. Thanks again.

I too like those tail hooks but the squirly jake has gotten me fish twitching/jerking it on a tough bite on LOTW. It does not troll as well.....

The muskie's liked the tail last your in Canada. Problem was they ate the tail off my buddy's Jake and I got to listen to the wind ripple through the empty socket the rest of the week
