Thanks, guys. Your thoughts and prayers help alot.

Been a long week, and an even longer day today. Mom had a tumor in a kidney that was discovered after several weeks of pain. Monday was a 3 hour procedure to confirm, and it was decided that removal was the only treatment. That took place this morning, in a 1 hour surgery. She was in ICU for recovery, and was in and out most of the time from around 10:00 until I left at 6 this evening. Mom turned 80 in March, and has been very active throughout her senior years. I'm sure her absolute faith and all the prayers for her are seeing her through this difficult operation. She's going to have a tough couple of weeks ahead, but the doctors said she is doing great, and won't need any chemo or radiation, as the tumor was contained inside the kidney. It's difficult to see her so weak, and in so much pain, but we know she's strong, and will be ok soon.

Thanks for the report Shep. It sounds like things went very well. Glad to hear.
Hoping she's on the short road to a speedy recovery.
Shelly was asking if you guys would be up for the shindig this weekend and I filled her in on what was up.

Shep, I'd love to but...
Worked 13 hours yesterday (Sat) scheduled for 16 today and 14 for Monday.
Told the wife by Tuesday I'm gonna feel sorry for the guy who looks at me wrong.
Off Wednesday and Thursday and I gotta see whats up. Buddy of mine runs his boat out of Port and says the fishings been crappy there due to wind direction and warm water. They were out four hours one morning last week without a hit. He said he'd call me if the weather changed and the cool water was in.
If that doesn't work out I may check with Worrall or Hintz for an overnighter somewhere if they are available.
But I don't have anything figured out for sure yet.

Just a quick update. Mom broke out of the hospital yesterday! 4 days after a kidney removal. She is an amazing lady! She's says she is just a little sore, but is getting her energy back, now that she can eat again.

Thanks to all for the good thoughts and prayers. You guys are the best!
