| Does anyone know the results of the WMT on Mani this weekend? I have a place there, but spent last week on LOTW. Was planning on fishing it with Neal, but opted out for LOTW. I have not heard any results and just getting back to reality. Any info would be great. Thanks. | |||

Posts: 2515 Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | I didn't attend the final awards meeting yesterday (yard work before going home and we didnt win anything!! hahaha). From what I understand, 31 fish registered, 47" being biggest. Fish were found very shallow. My partner and I fished Alder and Wild Rice thinking the weeds would be the ticket....NOPE. It was our first time out on the Man and it showed! Just happy we moved some fish and got some education for next year. Thanks to Tom and the Gang at the WMT, Thanks to the crew at Greer's Pier, Thanks to all the guys who tried to help us and lastly, thanks to my partner for making it a great time. It was great meeting Dpratt, Travis K, Kevin M and Abe L.....Jim Komar, I looked under all the tables and could'nt find you Friday night! Team Naughty Anglers finished -2...we broke the fishing 100 feet from the registration area rule!!! Gotta read the paper work next year, not just drink Old Fashions and BS during the meeting!

| Gander Guide, I am right up the street from you. I work at F. Dohmen in Germantown. I was supposed to fish with Neal who works at Greers. I am good buddies with him. If you ever want to fish the chain again let me know, I would be glad to take you up for a weekend. I am on Spider. What did you think of the lakes? | |||

Posts: 2515 Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | I think the variety is awsome! Loved the chain...I wish we could have spent more time prefishing it! I'm gonna take you up on your offer. I felt embarrassed to have done so badly. Next year that wont happen. Trade you a day on the Chain for a day on Palmer/Tenderfoot? The guy from Greer's is a class act.....$5.00 to launch friday, saturday and sunday!!??? Took our word that we'd be fishing the WMT all weekend. Everybody who fished the tourny should go back and grease his palm a little. Super nice crew of folks.

I am there all the time during my lunch period, and would love to stop by and say hello. Anytime you want to go, I would be happy to take you. I go EVERY weekend unless I am gonig to Canada.

Posts: 1906 Location: Oconto Falls, WI | The first two teams tripled, and the next 4 teams doubled. 46" and a 47 1/4" fish were the big fish for Saturday, and I stumbled across a 45" fish for the big fish on Sunday. Neal's team took second, and he said that they lost a few other fish including a very big fish (50+ at the net). The tournament was fun, and it helped that my bro and I finished 4th. It was great to see some old faces, and meet a few new faces to go with the names on the board here.

Posts: 419 Location: Appleton, WI | Hi Gander Mountain Guide, Looks like Travis didn't respond to your question so I will. Yes, we did qualify for the championship. So it looks like we'll have to do our homework for the upcoming tournament. We haven't fished the Pike/Round lake chain so it looks like we'll have figure out a game plan. I hope Travis continues to do well...he's been ah,ahhhh. I won't say because I'm starting to become pretty superstitious. But with the way my luck has been this past year, I should have start to be on the up-side so maybe I'll turn things around at the next one. catch ya later, Krappie Edited by Krappie 8/30/2004 4:51 PM

Location: Woodstock, IL | I heard that someone boated a 52" fish on Alder; however it wasn't known whether it was a tournament angler. Anyone hear anything about it?
