| I have two 8" Hughes River Shakers on the way...Yipee!
What is the best way to work these babies?
Under what circumstances do they work best?
Best leader to use with them?
Thank you in advance for any help,

| Fish them patiently. As far as when, any time you think that there might be a muskie around
The retrieve that works best for me is, snap-snap......pause, snap-snap-snap....pause.
When you pause the lure just hangs there, and the fish can't stand it. You can work it back like a Reefhawg, but I've caught almost all of fish on Shakers during the "hang" when I pause during the retrieve.
One great way to work them is to fire them over weeds near a drop, then walk the dog to the edge and stop and let it hang. Then snap it twice and pause again.
It's a very relaxing glider to work because it requires very little effort to make it move. Did I mention to pause during the retrieve?

Location: oswego, il | The best way to work them is into my tackle box! Beav has it right. They are forgiving so if the tap is not perfect it will still glide. Have fun with those babies. |
