Subject: New Tuffy model?

I hear there is going to be new Tuffy models this summer. What I heard was a totally new interior in the V models, anyone else have any fuel for that rumor? How big is the livewell? Rod storage?

All I can say for now is to stay tuned for further details.... the first prototype is being worked on as I type this. I will be making a trip to Lake Mills shortly to get a preview of what's to come.

Plans as I know them in cronological order:

New interior for 1760 hull.
New interior for 1990 hull.
New 18 foot boat completely.

1760 available in the near future.
1990 available probably early next season if the economy continues to grow and prototype build out goes as planned.
New 18' boat -prototype probably built sometime in 2005, it will progress from there.

In recent conversations with Steve Bendall the President of Fiberdome (Tuffy) they are very excited about the new lineup and committed to offering a quality glass boat at a reasonable price.

I wish they would come back with a 18' rampage that is a little wider. I have a 1993 180c Rampage, and love the boat, I just wish it was a little wider. A little more room on the decks would be great, and I love the thin walls, and deep center area (twin 2 year olds). A new boat is a lottery ticket away, but it is always nice to see new boats and dream.

And that is exactly what we did! The Rampage Magnum is 80" wide. Quite a platform, very nice ride.

The new 1760 C and DS are nearly done, look for photos in the very near future. The new 'big boat' goes into development/production immediately after the 1760 is finished. The 18' model is a winter project at this time. Can't let the cat out of the bag, but wait until you look inside the new Osprey models...
