I always did well around Mumms bay working outside weeds, by Garmish's reort shore line and around the biggest island with the rock bar outer edge. Also don't be afraid to go small and work the creek mouths.
Good luck

Use the ramp in the State Park on the north end, the one further south on Hwy D is substandard, and can bend or break off a spare trailer tire (oops).

We mostly fish the north end, other likely have favorite spots all over the other parts.

The west shoreline just south of that ramp is good (weed bed on the break), as is the east shoreline of Upper Lake.

I always cast in the channel there, and take a run through the bay beyond the bridge where Hwy D passes overhead.
The shallow weedy bay and east shore of the bay with the Loon Saloon is also pretty fishy-looking. We've seen lots of fish in the reeds on the west side of the weedy shallow bay.

Namekagon Island and the rocks and timber just west of it are also good spots. And an obvious big fish spot is the reeds/rocks off Missionary Point.

Man I can't wait until I get another shot at the Nam.

Keep us posted on how many and how deep!

Thanks for all the insight everone, sounds like Dean and I are going to beat the water for awhile on Sunday morning. We stay at Garmisch for a week every year and enjoy fishing that water, so I know exactly where all the spots you mentioned to try are at. I'll let you know how I/We do throughout the week.

Zach...

Ditto on the previous spots mentioned. Bucktails, Spinnerbiats, and topwater should give you some action this time of year.

Garmish is a pretty cool place, lots of history in that area.

Just got back from a week there........moved some nice fish in the weeds but take some time and graph 'm in the depths.......I brought 3 huuuuuuge fish up on rubber in the middle of the day.......all suspended 15 down in 25 fow

Had some surprises too.....like 3 'eyes over 20 inches on a reef hawg......... at 3 in the afternoon in 3 feet of water

Quote of the weekend from the little lady "Ohhh my god look at his big green head and teeth!" as the little claw hangs 2 feet out of the water........grrrrrrrrrrrr
