| Any of the lakes on the Winnipeg River near Minaki, Ont. You can go 25 miles upstream or downstream from there. You can get 40" plus northerns regularily, plus big muskie potential, plus a bonus of big walleyes which this area is known for. |

| If you are looking to "rough it" the link below is a great fly-in. Muskrat is their "big northern" lake, no ski's this far up. I have always had a great time with this place, been twice already and have next year's booked. Muskrat gets booked real fast. FYI, I have also fished Elbow and Samuelson. These lakes have big numbers of pike, biggest so far was 38"X15". Muskrat should produce the 40's we are looking for.

| The Winnipeg is also a great choice.. like Steve said.
Very easy to fish, one of the easiest in Canada and full of big muskies, pike, smallmouth and walleyes. The maps are excellent and the spots are simple and classic, and hold fish. |

| Rainy may also get a vote if they ever quit fighting over who stays where and allow for the daily use permits and fishing your way over the border. I have caught really big pike there, and some good muskies, too.
Bleak Bay, Redgut, Seine bay, and the approach to Bleak on the south shore all the way from Jackfish.
Huge Smallmouth, too. Caught one years ago fishing with Jim Kalkofen that was 25", an old feller that I should have put on the wall, felt sorry for it and let it go...[] |

| Hi,
Eagle lake has huge muskie and some big pike also. Been to Winnepeg river/ big sand area and seen big pike but not as large of muskies as Eagle Lake. The camps were Rough Rock Lodge on the Winnepeg River system and went to Andy Myers Lodge on Eagle Lake.
Thanks,
Don |
