| On July 10th, lakes Minocqua and Kawaguesaga hosted the fourth and final one day qualifying tournament in the Western Region of the Wisconsin Muskie Tour for the 2004 season. This was the first time that the WMT had visited Minocqua and with the tournament filling, the competing anglers were fishing for first place, bragging rights, and big money.
The WMT's Minocqua tournament paid down five place:
1st- Ken & Keith Krejci, both of Schofield
2nd- Chris Conklin & Pete Brzezinski, both of Mosinee
3rd- Brian Kastner, Woodruff and Brian Emmerich, Hazelhurst
4th- Josh Strama & Pat Bieldel, both of Medford
5th- Clay Schroeder, Hazelhurst and Doug Smith, Minocqua
