Posts: 3242 Location: Racine, Wi | Shep and I went out to Okauchee today to share one last cast on one of Kyle's favorite lakes. I was throwing a bulldawg for most of the morning, (Kly turned me onto these baits not too long ago) I managed to miss one on that. We then decided to troll. Shep popped this FAT 34"er. I know Kyle was watching as Sheps 1st slime of the year was in the boat on one of Kly's spots. Thanks for the memories buddy!!!! Thanks for sharing the boat with me today Shep! Posts: 5874 | What a fun morning. I left to meet Tuffy1 at 4:15 AM at Okauchee. As I turned the corner to the launch, I peered over at the Park N Ride, where I first met KLY, and his old Buick, with the RUbbermaid sucker tank in the trunk. I met Tuffy1, and we silently motored out from the docks. I put on my Herpes Undertaker, and we took a moment to reflect, and we fired our first casts for Kly. I fully expected a double, but the muskies did not cooperate. Gosh, it felt good to be mukiefishing again. There was a chilly north breeze all morning, but I stayed quite warm with the workout from casting baits. Joel and I talked all morning about our times in the boat with Kly. I had no luck, but Tuffy1 did get one to hit his Bulldawg. He missed it on the set, and brought in a torn up dawg. I had to leave by 9:30 for Eric's baseball game, so around 8:15, we decided to troll some up. We started along a break line, and not 10 minutes later, Tuffy1 and I both saw the board di, and as the reel clicker sounded, I reached for the rod. Several minutes later, a nice fat Okauchee 34 was in the net, and I had my first fish of the year, on my first day out! What a great feeling! I'm sure Kyle was smiling down on us, as we took a few quick pics, and released the fish to the lake. Thanks for the help, Kyle. You will be missed, but never forgotten. Thanks Joel, for a short, but unforgettable morning. Did you get my voicemail? Did you get the silocone on that badge on your motor? hehehe

I also figured out how to get the pics on the site as you can see. Thanks for the tips Shep. Edited by tuffy1 6/21/2004 8:19 AM
