A handful of neophytes and I make an annual pilgrimmage up to northern Wisconsin for a long weekend of chasing 'ski's. This year, we're interested in heading up to the Cisco Chain for a change of pace; but have never fished it.

Two questions:
1. - Is mid-late October ideal; i.e., post-turnover, typically? Right now, this is looking like the only time we can get the group together.

2. - How is the bite on this big chain that time of year?

Thanks folks!

Jeff

Mid to late October is an excellent time on the cisco chain. Definately a BIG fish time on that chain.I would recommend you buy a Michigan License also for Thousand Island and other Michigan side lakes. Fish rocks deeper !! have fun
