Well, my wife, my little boy, and I were supposed to leave for the opener today up to St. Germain, but my 20 month old, Jimmy Jr., came down with a 103 fever and a bad throat. What bad timing. My 2 cousins and their significant others are on their way up and I just made the call that it looks like we won't be coming. What a bummer. My wife insists I still go because she knows how important this weekend is to me and the cousins.....we've gone on this trip I think 8 years running?........but I'm not goin anywhere unless the wife and boy go with.
Funny how much your life changes when the wife and son mean the world to you..........it just brought a tear to my eye as I just typed......that "Water Works Wonders" commercial was just on espn.
"Take me fishing, because I miss my boy."

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Jim, You made the right choice- "family first". One of my best friends is on the road to Canada as I type this, I was suppose to be trailing him with Esox Maniac (my Skeeter). My daughter graduates from high school on Sunday. Hope you have a multiple big fish day when you finally get out on the water.
Hope Jim Jr is feeling better already cuddled in his dad's arms.
Best Wishes

With the cr@ppy weather we had up in Land O Lakes, you made the right choice. Our little 5 year old is sick as is the little woman. Bad throats and cold symptoms.....Fish will be there another day. |
