Location: Bagley,MN 56621		scary sight as one customer brought in there boat because it wouldnt turn over.
After not being able tio turn the flywheel by hand either, the follwoing was found after the spark plugs were removed.

They stored their boat in their garage.

Location: Chicago, Beverly		i never store mine with the plugs out.. spiders, mice, wasps... not good things to get inside various parts of your motor....

Location: Bagley,MN 56621		the boat was stored with the plugs in, coweling on and the boat in there garage.

The mice got in through the exhaust valves................through the prop.

YIKES is right..I just cleaned up a nest I found this weekend. I looked everything over real well but it still scares me what damage they can do. I used fabric softner sheets this year. I still think the best thing is to keep lots of bait out and kill as many as you can. I will probably switch back to moth balls next fall.

I used to store boats in my barns. Customers used dixie cups of moth balls to keep critters out.

Location: syracuse indiana		wow. i had some chew wires on mine this past winter. i am glad that they didnt do that. i know that next year i will put moth balls inside under cover and hang some around prop with nylons. if i can find me a lady who wears them...lol i dont feel right going to the store and buying me some. still single....bill

steel wool pads stuffed in the prop is what the mechanics I work with recommend to keep the buggers out. They cant chew through that.
