Two lakes this weekend. Two tourneys. Zero reports! What gives? Did my favorite MFer's not do well, and refuse to report? Extreme One! Landy! COme on. Spill the beans. Wish I could have made either or both of these. Tried to get away yesterday to take a run out and see what was the haps, but got caught up in yard work with wifey.

Saturday- Okauchee-11 fish registered biggest 45"er

Sunday- 72 teams, Pewaukee-8 fish registered biggest 41"+
Steve Imhoff is on FIRE!!! He doubled on Pewaukee under some tough conditions for the win!
He is like the Tiger Woods of Musky Fishing!

Kly and I attacked Okauchee on Sat. We were within inches of getting on the board. TWICE!!!! Early in the tourney on Sat, I had a 43" class fish follow a figure 8 in, and she MISSED when she tried to hit the bait. I can still see how close she was to getting pinned. I raised her one other time, but she wasn't as active. Then Kly had a mid 30 fish miss an undertaker at the boat. Those to fish made it very difficult to drink beer afterward. Well..... maybe the first one.

At least we knew we were on fish. The cool thing is, the dudes that won, bought a couple of rounds for EVERYONE. How cool is that. Thanks for the beer!!!!

We'll see if we can do better on the 22nd and 23rd.

How'd everyone else fair??

I can't remember their names, but it was the guys that won the Manitowish WMT last year. They never fished the lake before Sat, and the same with the Mani Chain. Never touched it before the tourney. They stuck the 45 at 1:30 PM after the rain/wind receeded, and the sun came out and warmed everything up.

My internet conection at work is down and maybe for good. That could hurt.

I had a 12 year old client Saturday on Pewaukee and got him his first muskie.

He caught a 37 1/2-incher and later lost a 39 to 40-incher at the boat. I had the net ready and the fish came off 8ft from the net.

I was done with my client at 2pm so Mark Sankey and I went out for two hours. I stuck a 38-incher.

Mark and I had big enough fish raised to win but they wouldn't eat.

Thats tournys..............

"A jig", "again", is what caught the winning fish from what I heard.

Steve is dialed.

The bite was obviously off. The Okauchee tournament was won by the team of Bob Miesbauer and Jeff Danelson. They caught there winnining 45" fish in Stumpy Bay after yielding to another boat that caught a smaller fish in front of them. As Tuffy 1 said, we all enjoyed a few ales on them. We saw 2 fish with one missed hookset.
Pewaukee was a tuffer bite with many teams not seeing a fish. We caught 4 bass and saw 2 muskies with the largest being around 40". We did witness the Extreme one hook the possible big fish of the tournament, but it turned out to be a tail hooked 20 lb. plus carp. The winner doubled on the East end using his jigging presentation. This kid is on fire!
I'm entered in the WMT 2 day tournament the weekend of the 21st & 22nd. I may be in need of a partner due to my sons work schedule if anyone is interested.
