Posts: 93 Location: Waukesha, WI. | I go 235 and I would have been out the other side of the boat. We don't get to have guns in the boat. The more I think about it, did you keep casting that thing? Would of made a musky a happy and full!!!!! lol. How or why did this happen?

Posts: 57 Location: Racine WI | Some guys have all the luck! Wish that had happened to me -- I would have kept it. I need a Wisconsin Fox Snake for doing snake shows. My Missouri specimen lacks the copper-colored head that gets a lot of Wi/MI killed as venomous -- I point out how harmless and useful they are, then pass mine around for the crowd to handle. Sounds like I'd have trouble convincing you guys of that.

Posts: 440 | I get in the boat after work and these two are talking about this big snake they caught. I figure they are referring to a musky. Nope this two wussies are scarred of a harmless old "bull snake". (my name for any snake I can't identify) Here you have a Division 1 college football player and "big Minnesota tough guy" talking about a snake like it was a freaking dragon or something. I had to hang my head in shame. And then LMAO.

Posts: 484 Location: St. Louis, MO., Marco Is., FL, Nestor Falls, ON | I have a friend who was on a float trip on the Meramec River. He had a .22 rifle along. He is DEATHLY afraid of snakes. The current caught the canoe and lodged it under a fallen tree. A water moccasin dropped out of the tree into the canoe and he put 17 holes in the bottom of the canoe before running out of ammo. Then he moved the canoe out from under the tree and promptly sank. Not a good day.

Posts: 20281 Location: oswego, il | You two are a couple of girls. I would of had ahold of that thing as soon as I seen it. I used to catch snakes when I was a little kid and put them down my shirt. I have been bitten by snakes too, no big deal. Shoot, when I was in college, I used to fish the rip rap on lakes around SIU and see water moccasins all the time. I even had one swim up to my boat once. Snakes are cool. Now if I just had an annoying british accent, I could have me a reptile show. Edited by ToddM 5/7/2004 8:32 PM

Posts: 1335 Location: Chicago, Beverly | Looks like a plain old water snake to me... before they stocked musky in webster i used to go out with my dad there and catch them and snapping turtles... fun... now up in wisconsin you don't have to worry about water mocasins, they do not get that far north... Parts of Illinois and Indiana, definitely especially farther south.. my dad actually customized a frabill net just for catching water snakes..lol.... I still want to know...was it cpr'd?..

Posts: 1137 Location: Holly, MI | Steve Jonesi - 5/7/2004 12:35 AM What a strange spring it's been.Did somebody mention "strange". Steve One More Cast....... I was out pike fishing tonite with a buddy and we had a lost baby duckling following us along, peeping and swimming. We talked about it being muskie bait. Cute lil bugger, hate to see him go down but at the same time I would love to see it happen. Then when it was about 10 ft from the boat there was a big toilet flush, a swing and a miss. I tossed my triple white spinnerbait out behind us and the fish was happy to take that instead. It was only about a 24 inch pike but I was happy to give him a chance to eat. It only had one good eye, might of had somthing to do with the miss at the duckling.

Posts: 32958 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | 'I don't like spiders and snakes...' Well, at least that is unique. ToddM, you have issues, sir. I know this because I did what you said you did when I was a kid. My Mom used to have to shake me down to rid me of snakes and reptiles before coming in the house.

| Mark, Was bringing the Weagle in through a forest of stumps... It was either along side the stump or behind the stump. I'm 99% sure it was trying to get away from the Weagle.........Instead of checking the Weagle out. S | |||
