I think the general season opens May 15. Bass doesn't open until May 29.

from page 8 in the 2004 guide....muskie - 42" size limit. May 15 - Feb 28 for UP inland waters and great lakes and St. Mary's River. Same for walleye.

Boundrary waters have slighly different regs - we're mostly talking the Menominee River. 40" size limit there for muskies. Carefully read the rules on the MI DNR website for many details on Boundary Waters. Some of the biggest muskies in the area reside in that river, but man, they are hard to catch. www.michigan.gov/dnr. Look for me in the Master Angler database (muskies) last two years!
