For those of you around the Northeast S.D. Waubay area, I fished Amsden dam and got 4 follows and one strike, and of course watched a smallmouth fisherman boat a 36in. muskie. Small lake, easy to cover and according to the fish biologist alot of muskies, and a few 50s during their recent creel survey. Had a great time for early season fishing.

Amsden is a great fishery, not many other options in the area.

I have in-laws in Aberdeen, so I get out there every summer. That lake has or
had the state record, last time I checked. You are correctin the idea that it is a small
lake and easy to cover.

One of those hidden little jewels, that makes a great Muskie and Pheasant combo trip
in the fall.
