I just got back from Kinkaid, 1st trip in the new boat.
Got it slimy on my first outing, gotta be good luck from here on out....Right???
Anyway, here's the report:
45-50 degrees overcast
Water 55-56 degrees, 3-4'visib
Wind Strong, gusty N-NE
Caught 36" on Reef Hawg, working it really slow
One other follow...Same Reef Hawg
Water temp 8-10 degrees colder than one week ago.
Anybody else down this weekend?

I said my first fish in the boat... I bought it from Steve Herbeck, no telling how many and how big were in it last year! Anybody fish with him from this rig?

Knocker,
I know that there were a few BIG girls in that boat last season. I was up at Herbie's place for a week last July.
The guided a guy to a 56 inch fish out of that boat the week before we got there.

What a differendce a few days makes.
Bibs/coat and stocking hat on Monday, shorts and no shirt on Friday (not pretty)
80 Degrees and Sunny
Wind was gusty and strong from the South
Water temps pushing 65 degrees in some spots, 58 main basin.
Water clarity is super right now, at least 4-5 foot in some spots.
I moved 5 fish today:
Lost 1 had 2 Strikes and 2 Follows.
All on the Reef Hawg.
I was working it fast and eratic, 2 hits boatside.
Can't wait to get back there Sunday.

Monday's Report
6 Hours pounding the water to a froth today, and only 1 follow to show for it.
We had shad folloing our baits up shallow, but no muskies. Usually have some good luck when the shad are up that shallow, but not today.
Overcast all day, 75 degrees
Water was 62-66 degrees/3-5' visib.
Wind was SE and strong most of the day.
One follow on a Superman Magic Maker

April 25&26th:
Weather much better, Fishing much better:
Caught 6, Lost 0, Strikes 2, Follows 5
33, 35, 37, 37, 40 and 43
All caught on Shallow Invaders, and Magic makers.
Water temps were 62-66 degrees, 2-4' visibility
Most of the fish were on main lake points that had some new weed growth on them.
Hope the report helps.

Rodney,

Thanks for the information. Caught a 31" on Sunday using your tips. Main lake, off a bank on a Crane, about 6-8' bait about 2-3' below surface.

Thanks.

Barry
