| Believe it or not.. I will be going up to Bay Da Noc in Upper Michigan on Saturday and fishing walleyes for a day. A big walleye, next to the Buck I just shot on my wall would make my wife very happy.
Walleyes???.. I think I need to see a shrink. [:blackeye:] []
Have a great Thanksgiving folks!!! |

| Really nice weather today so I am trying extremely hard to get out of here so that I can get a line wet today. Other than that I will be out chasing those elusive Whitetails for another day or two. Then maybe back in the boat Sat. or Sun. Hope to catch a couple more before the water turns hard.

| Heading up to Hayward with the boy Friday morn. Just gotta get one more trip in this year. Hope I can find some larger suckers. So far 14" is as big as I can find. Help would be much appreciated.
Tight lines, and may your aim be true!
Happy Turkey Day.

| jason- i know this is a muskie site and all.. but where are the walleyes this time of year? a local bait shop said to stay shallow-10 to 15 feet with live bait only... we saw NO fish all day in shallow water... is it true they won't chase deep diving crankbaits this late in the year? thanks for the wally tips- and can i have a number for a good shrink? -

| Don, Chris, and I are hitting Sanford on Friday, and Sunday in search of the 55 I caught this spring with a bigger girth. Plan on casting and trolling, but cannot get hands on suckers here in mid-Michigan.

| I plan on fishing more this thanksgiving weekend, even though it started today. I was fishing the local lake and nothing so i fished off a dock to relax a little and was getting bored so i cast the super rattle trap out as far as i could and reeled it in as fast as i could, and i was using my friend's really heavy pole and i felt a little weed hit it and as i was getting to figure 8 I noticed a fish on there. Not any fish, but my biggest ever at 44". It was hooked really bad, great time for my bolt cutters to not cut and it kept getting caught in the net. (which it barely fit in) I tried and tried to get it out, finally i decided it'd be best to leave the hook in so it would at least have a chance of surviving, anyway w/ that said the hook pulled out w/ the bolt cutters. I spent five-ten minutes reviving it, I was afraid i was going to lose it, but when it finally swam away it was a great feeling. Funny thing is two 70 year old guys in a rowboat tried to pull in to the ramp i was reviving it in, and I told them to go to the other one so they did and i talked to them a little becasue they wanted to know what kind of line i used and stuff. As i was putting a new hook and split ring on the lure, one guy went to the bathroom right on the boat ramp! What the heck was he doing. Have seen some funny stuff fishing, including this and a guy in a lawn chair in a canoe tipping it over. |

| Zach, here is a funny story about your lake. We were there on a hot summer day and I took a bathroom break in the bathroom. I came back and I seen this babe get out of here car in a short skirt and high heels and she ended up sitting on that bench by the water and watched us fish. As we looked at her watching us we noticed on her dress sweater was a big number 69 embroidered in the upper right corner. She finally got up and left after about 20 minutes. |

| My plans have changed slightly. The boy is not going to come with to Hayward tomorrow morning. Seems he'd reather go with Gramma and Mom to Harry Potter movie Friday night.
I guess I'll be fishing alone, unless somebody would like to share my boat Friday and/or Saturday. I plan on arriving in Hayward around 7:00 AM. Still looking for some large suckers. See my other post.
