Posts: 20269 Location: oswego, il | I have, I really like them. The way they are designed, they cast like a bullet, the best bucktail for casting into the wind. You won't cast another bucktail farther.

| They are excellent baits! I had tons of action on Vermillion last fall! Where can I get the double tail? I only have the single and would like to get a couple of the doubles! Bret | |||

| The new ones are really awesome looking. I saw them at a show a few weeks ago. You can see the original tinseltails at his website but it does not yet show his new double tails. He is suppose to be updating his website soon and it should show these new ones and also his new trojan tail and trojan tail spinnerbaits. These tojan baits look pretty good too. The spinner baits resemble rad dog spinner baits and we know how well those work. The website address is www.tinseltails.com If you email him he may be able to email some pictures of the new ones back to you. | |||

Posts: 1936 Location: Eau Claire, WI | The original is one of my favorites been using them with success for several years now. The new double tail works awesome...I've had them for a few seasons now.... What most don't know about is Fred's new Trojan Tails, available in spinner and in-line style baits. Great T-shirts as well...:) Tie one on.... Mark Hintz "Trojan Pro-Team" www.muskyadventures.com

Posts: 155 Location: Watertown MN | I got one at Cave run musky first outing last year, I really liked the tail, boated 2 fish opening day in WI, and 2 more in june. I liked the castability and flash. The only issue is getting the blade to turn consistantly, has any one else had this problem. I have quit using them, its a mental thing if that blade does not start everytime. Good luck Troyz

Posts: 726 Location: Eau Claire, WI | I gotta jump in too, my favorites are the copper/copper and blk/yel/red blade over bronze. Both singles, I haven't thrown doubles mostly because the singles work so well. The trojan tails look nice, I got a mitt full ready to rock this spring. Jono

Posts: 1936 Location: Eau Claire, WI | Troy... Give it a little "tug" at the start of the retrieve and the blade should start... Some of them need that little tug but I have certainly not noticed a consistent problem with them. Possible you have a bent wire or ...? Don't give up on them they're a great bait.

Posts: 1938 Location: Black Creek, WI | I'm a fan of FredJ's Tinsel Tails TOO! Fish eat 'em and they hold up extremely well. I haven't tried his rubber stuff yet, but if they peform anything like his original stuff... they are guaranteed winners. jlong

Posts: 145 Location: Eau Claire, WI | For those of you who have asked for a picture of the double tails, I don't have any pictures right now but I will try to get one up in the next couple of days. Seems as though if a day were 36 hrs long it wouldn't be enough lately. The larger tails some are refering to as double tails are actually 5 ties of tinsel (just over 3 times the amount as the original tinsel tail) with a fluted blade and are lighter than the original. I call them Fluted Tinsel Tails. They excell in working over the tops of the weeds.

Posts: 1189 Location: Bagley,MN 56621 | Nice lookign stuff Fred, going to have to order me some...I especially like the easy to cast into the wind endorsement. Any chance you are making Trojan tinsel or is it all rubber? Ot maybe just putting a mogambo on the back of an original tinsel will do the same thing? thx much.

Posts: 145 Location: Eau Claire, WI | Greg, Tinsel and Rubber Tails are like me and Tequilla. A bad mix! The rubber tails stick to the tinsel too much. On the smaller tinseltails I have added a small twister tail on a wire keeper that keeps it out of the tinsel. If you are going to be at the MI meeting in April I will bring some along for you to see. Fred

Posts: 260 Location: Kentucky | Fred, I love those baits! How long is the new bait? It looks like from the picture that there is one hook on the bait, would it be possible to get two hooks? Thanks, Bret

Posts: 726 Location: Eau Claire, WI | Bret, if I remember right, the new baits are 8" or 9" and there are two hooks on there although it's hard to see on the pics. The second hook is on the shaft like boos or harassers. Freddy, correct me if I'm wrong! Jono

Posts: 145 Location: Eau Claire, WI | Bret, Going strictly by memory now because everything is packed up in the truck for a show this weekend. The fluted models are around 7 or 8" long, and weigh about 1 1/4oz. One hook only. The two hook model Jono is refering to was last years attempt at a larger lure. This model is much better. I can put an extra trebel on if you wish but I think because of the way it is tied it will have to be ahead of all the ties and it may interfer with the blade.

Posts: 578 Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | I cannot remember exactly how many different combinations we are going to be carrying, but it is in the neighborhood of 40+ different ones in the singles, doubles and the trojans. We are having many custom, unique, combinations made up. Fred said that our shipment should come in the first week of April or so, just in time for the store opening. Oh, by the way, these will be available at Nelson's Choice Bait & Tackle in Rhinelander. We are opening April 16th with the large grand opening celebration over Memorial weekenend. Can't waite to get them in and up on the wall. A large space has been set aside for them. Chuck
