will be getting a new trolling motor and have decided to switch from the cable steering
(pull the rope & deploy model) to a powerdrive model...any ideas on how to rig the transducer
cable to these? since the shaft will be adjusted frequently depending on conditons...i'm a bit puzzled??? the cable steering models are easy to rig...i know they have a universal transducer model for more money but would like to save that money and use my set up... Need Advice!!!!

Get the Power Drive with the Universal Sonar. No cables to get in the way. Well worth the extra money. I'll never do it any other way again!

Use a transducer clamp or big pull ties to attach the transducer to the foot of the electric motor, then run the cable up the motor shaft and through the handle, then to the sonar. I tie strap the cable at the bottom and the top of the shaft as well. This allows the cable to slide through the handle when deploying and stowing the motor. I run the cable along the cord to the sonar area, then hook it to the sonar, coil the extra, and stow it as best as possible.
