"Winter is Coming"
(Game of Thrones)
Casual Dinner 5-7 pm - Meeting 7 pm

Nick Poppler's seminar is a preparation for winter ice fishing. Nick fishes Whitefish Bay and Crow Lake for summer muskies, and returns to those lakes for Lake Trout fishing through the ice in the winter. If you don't travel to Canada, Nick has many Lake Trout opportunities in Minnesota. Did you know ice fishing for suckers and tullibee is a thing? Minnesota laws have changed and formerly illegal gear is now legal. Nick will bring examples. Nick does occasionally catch a muskie through the ice, but will answer soft-water muskie questions after the ice fishing presentation.

We will also have an update on stocking progress. Twin Cities Muskies Inc has dedicated over $75,000 to stocking muskies this year, and DNR quotas for both 2025 and 2026 tiger muskie stocking have already been met.

We will be meeting at Sweeney's Saloon, 96 Dale Street North, St. Paul. Come around 5 pm and join fellow anglers in Ashland Room next to the bar if you want to enjoy appetizers or a meal beforehand.

You do not have ot be a Muskies Inc member to attend. Meetings are free.
