Posts: 7074 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Suggestions on your favorite musky podcasts? Or even just outdoors. Getting more into pods as I get older and I just don't "get the new fangled music", so looking for suggestions. A pod cast makes the long drive to fish go faster...

A fishing buddy of mine was just talking about one he listens to, "Back Lash", mostly musky and pike fishing. Looked it up and hey have over 300 episodes listed. The one he was listening to on his way to the YMCA today featured a guide from the Pelican Lake area.

Posts: 16 Location: Wright County MN | I like the meateater podcast and wired to hunt as well. The backlash one is ok. I only like that one for guides I care about listening to.

Posts: 130 Location: Roscoe IL | back lash podcast is the best muskie related podcast out there. Jeff Widman and brad and Carrie Hoppe host the show, theyre the owners of Team rhino and musky mayhem tackle, respectively

Posts: 1295 Location: WI | Greg Thomas Road Rules is good. Musky Hunks and Muskies On Tap, Ugly Pike if you want to hear some guys from up north. Jason Sloan from Badfish has a pod on Spotify also.

JKahler - 7/2/2025 2:55 PM Greg Thomas Road Rules is good. Musky Hunks and Muskies On Tap, Ugly Pike if you want to hear some guys from up north. Jason Sloan from Badfish has a pod on Spotify also. I was one of those chumps that had paid for a couple years subscription to Musky Hunter Magazine when Thomas and Grant took it over. Money down the tubes and not so much as a, 'geez, sorry this didn't work'. I refuse to have any interaction that might result in money for either of them. Just a personal feeling. I know businesses fail, happens every day, but the way you handle it makes a difference.

Posts: 1534 Location: Brighton CO. | Podcast are very cool but back in the day of driving across the country on a fishing trip and the music witch was popular at the time of the trip still sticks in my head. We took my truck to Lake Of The Woods in 1993 and my dad was a country music fan I still think of "John Deer Green" "Bubba shot the Jutebox last night" "I still believe in you". Two falls ago a friend and I went on a trip and we plugged it the I pod and cranked random songs, this year I'm going to suggest using the same I pod and going the full album route. So as we go across Iowa we can go "2112" among others.
