Location: Bloomington, MN | I just got back from 9 days of Pike fishing on Great Slave Lake. 7 days were at Trout Rock Lodge. All I can say is that it was stupid, like before. This is my second time pike fishing up there, and my friend's 4th time. He as a legit 50.25"., and we got 49 over 40", vs. 57 on the last trip. I got my P.B. a dandy 48", but the thrill goes away shortly after the capture....believe it not! It's pay pond fishing/shooting a fish out of a barrel it is is dummy fishing. No skill is needed except a bunch of money. Fun wore out with me real quick on this trip, Lot's of surcharges. I guess you can buy big fish. I'm too old and sensible to pay for Fittante's Gulf Shore property, meaning no replica.
