Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota | Past few seasons I’ve spent October and November in the metro but this year I’m going to be fishing vermilion until it freezes up. I’m curious how boring and slow guys will get with their rubber retrieves late in the year on whitefish/tulibee lakes. Generally when I’m throwing pounders/1.5lbsers/pounder dusas ect I generally sweep them and try to get a good 3-5ft hop on each pull, then let them fall on a slack line for a bit. I’ve seen some guys really late in the year mixing some slow straight retrieves in with some really slow pulls. How differently are you guys working baits late in the year compared to rubber retrieves the rest of the year? Think the last few seasons I’ve been over working the baits. |
