| Heading to Eagle Lake Sept. 16-25th. What should I expect weather wise? Fishing depth? Shallow, reefs? If I decide to go fishing Muskie a couple days is trolling a decent option or should I be throwing all the time?
I'm not a dead serious guy while fishing. I'm guessing Walleye, Pike & Smallmouth will get our attention at different times also.
Thanks for any info. |

| I stayed at Century Lodge on the east end the last week of September 2015. The water at that end is very dark, but the fishing was fantastic for muskies, pike and smallmouth. Caught 4 walleyes over 27" on muskie baits. If you are staying near the east end I'd suggest a trip down to that area. All of my other Eagle trips were in the Summer.

I hooked the largest smallmouth of my life there. |

| Trolling is definitely an option, I’m a caster at heart but will take breaks to troll for an hour or two many days in Canada, and more times than not it’s very productive, if you just want catch fish troll large size walleye cranks ( #9 SR’s, Big reef runners, deep husky jerks, etc) … get lots of big pike, smallies and walleye and occasional a big muskies. I pull these fairly fast by walleye standards 2.5- 3.0 …Doing this around reefs or distinct weed lines can be non-stop action, there’s some good trolling runs right where you are staying. Good luck |
