Posts: 171 | I don't throw walk-the-dog topwaters much at all but want to do it a little more. I have a 20 year old plus large old weagle but I do not have a medium size walk-the-dog. Any recommendations? Going to LOTW soon.

Posts: 1247 Location: Walker, MN | I consider the 8" Weagle medium...is that the size you have? If your looking for smaller, look at the Evergreen International Shower Blows 150. It's around 6" and a real fish magnet for all large gamefish. I've never tried the baby weagle, that's around 5" i believe.

Posts: 1267 Location: E. Tenn | There's these...they're kinda like a super zara spook, only bigger.. I've had a good bit of luck with them.. just put some heavier hooks on them https://www.strikeking.com/en/specialty-brands/kvd/hckvdmd

Posts: 2015 | If you don’t own a Jackpot it’s worth having one or two, dozens of Muskie’s have ate mine on Lotw over the year’s , and most were coming back after raising a fish. Yes they can get blown out of the water and you’ll miss some but I haven’t found them to be “terrible”when it comes to hooking, they will entice strikes when nothing else seams to, whe faced with glass calm conditions… ask in the buy and sell forum and I bet you’ll get a couple pretty cheap.

Posts: 171 | The Weagle I have is a 10". Steve Jonesi gave it to me after a very very slow day guiding my son and I 20 plus years ago. I think he felt bad for us not seeing a fish all day at MIlle Lacs. Pretty nice! I have had a lot of my musky lures on the dining room table the last week, tryiing to narrow down the number I take to LOTW in a week, my wife walked by, looked at the lures, and said dryly..." You have a problem" . I said...yep, but you have to remember about 1/3 of these our son bought. I do think I have a Giant Jackpot somewhere, need to look a little better before I make up a "small" order to Thorne's.

Posts: 324 | I use ‘The Doc’ by Drifter mostly nowadays. Casts like a bullet, works easily, pretty good hooker. I use both but prefer the version w/out rattles. Put a couple biggies in the boat this year.

Posts: 393 | I would suggest the following 1. Evergreen SB 150. A WTD and popper 2. Baby Weagle 3. Bucher Dancing Raider (with rattles if you can find one)

Posts: 1279 | Even though they call them Giant Jackpots, their really not that big. I've caught tons of small fish on them, as well as some of my biggest.
