| I just recently bought a hi fin creeper (about 5 inches long) and I tried using it, but the action seems off and I think it's my leader. It seems like it sits a lot deeper in the water than it should and it doesn't have the same wobble it should. I was wondering what leader you guys recommend using. I was using single strand 174 lb 12 inch and 130 lb fluorocarbon 13 inch because those are the 2 leaders I have on hand. |

| Maybe you got one that leaks? check the wings are in tune? |

How would I know if it leaks or the wings aren't in tune? Everything on it looks good. |

Location: MN | Test it without any leader and see how it runs. If it's not running right, something is wrong with the bait itself. Creepers can be very finicky - wings might need adjustment, try different speeds, it might need a little burst to get going, etc.
No experience with that particular bait, but I've run a bitten creeper (similar size) with a 12" 175# fluoro leader, no problem. |

Location: NorthCentral WI | Stealth tackle makes a spring leader and a swimbait leader that are both around 6" in length and good for baits that can be finicky about the leader weight. Sometimes simply removing the swivel helps too as long as it's a combo that you're not going to be throwing rotating lures with. |

| The Hi-Finn Creepers have a solid body so they cant leak. The new ones are back to being solid wood not resin. I use a Stealth Tackle 174# wire on mine they run great with that. Keep your rod tip up and keep all your line out of the water when using them, you have better action with them that way and hook up % goes up also. I have caught tons of muskys on Hi-Finn creepers and hawg busters, my daughters PB was on one also.

| I tried that with 30 lb fluorocarbon and it worked, but with the wire it keeps rolling around in the water or not working the way it should. |

| I should have know that Hi Finn lures are solid, I guess I was thinking like a Engineer rather than a fishermen. Looking for a solution. |
