Happy Holidays from all of us at OutdoorsFRIRST Media, may yours be the best ever!

I was reading this morning about a fishing organization that's in grave danger of failing due to everything from the economy, COVID, and tech, and it got me thinking about MuskieFIRST's longevity. This board has been active for 22 and a half years, perking along robustly despite the introduction of social media, smartphones, economic challenges, and more. We've survived several recessions and one near depression with hardly a blip in our userbase.

Larry Ramsell's posts the last few days have shown our readers are still there checking in with us regularly, generating 9500 views. Our front page stays in about a 30-day cycle. The front page lists threads with a total of 15,500 views.

The reason for all of this is you, and the community formed by you all collectively.

Thanks for hanging out with us.

Happy Holiday's to everyone! I live a full life with lots of interests, but I love checking in a couple times a day and posting things Muskie, Northwoods and food. It's a great place to be. How many times we find a web sight and the last post was in 2017? Keep up the post's and have fun.

Stumbled on this site looking for a place to sell a boat (sold quickly here). Lurked for a couple years and jumped on the bus regularly in 2010. This place is the full sum of all of my social media participation, and that's good enough for me.

That dirty, bike seat sniffer still owes me a Suick, 5 years and counting. Next time I drive thru The Windy I'm stopping by to kick his dog.

Hey thanks for being there yall! This site has educated me so much, far better than any websearch might even think it could. This place is my only social media platform and I look forward to everyday to kicking my boots off, cracking a cold one and seeing what smart remark Ranger has or what tale Chucski has to tell. Sorry Chuck but Ranger's tale-something about a wedding night, lots of drive time, "Colas", and falling asleep In his boat is BY FAR my favorite fishing tale I've ever heard. Merry Xmas everyone!

Side note Steve- what happened to that website that OutdoorsFirst was supposed to migrate to?

Been a registered user since the last century the day Steve and Zach turned the lights on. I can remember when the chat room was full at the stroke of midnight to bring in the new century. I believe we all had to re-register in 2001 which is why some of you like myself have a 2001 register date.

This format is still the best organized way to discuss topics and learn. What sets it apart from social media is that it's more about the collective group rather than the individual. There's better information here .

I'm glad to see people listen to my stories after all we fish for a day here and there or a week up North, Then what?
Here we are! A great trip and the stories live on and on and on. I've only been on here since 2019? I was on Musky hunter from 2007-2017 have been locked out. Maybe too many Green Bay Football Stories?

Hands down the best site out there for all things Musky. Its organized so well and managed perfectly to keep discussions and information on track and avoids many of the evils that exist on social media these days. Looking forward to many years ahead!
