Posts: 1200 Location: Walker, MN | I've loved the 8" Weagle for a long time...makes me wonder why I don't try the baby for a WTD bass lure. Does anyone have any experience with the 5" Baby Weagle? Does it act like the 8"? Thanks!

Posts: 1970 | I have 3 and I’d happily sell them all, just not a fan of the baby weagle… if it’s really calm occasionally I’ll grab a giant jackpot, original 8” weagle is where it’s at for me.

Interesting info. I have looked at them but never pulled the trigger. Really like the 8" but have wondered if maybe smaller might be effective at times.

Posts: 315 | I have a few and really like them for calmer water. They have a lot of movement and make some noise but don’t glide real far which I think allows the fish to eat them instead of miss them. They definitely have their place in my boat.

I have a "Super Spook" that's caught a ton of bass, more than a few pike, and several musky.. I'm glad I keep enough #4 hooks on hand..

Posts: 375 | While the question started with Baby Weagle I would also recommend the value of the Super Spook. I use both with a lot of success especially in the spring. Super Spook comes out in quieter conditions and Baby Weagle when there is more of a chop and windier conditions.
