Posts: 1294 | Good grief. Talk about irresponsible. There's a lake in the southwest TC metro, that is over run with goldfish. DNR has been trying to figure out how best to deal with them.

Posts: 504 Location: Ludington, MI | I thought maybe this was the thread where we complained about how you can't get out of a Toyota for bow hunting within a mile of the car because of all the beeps and lights and "safety" crap.... The struggle is real.

Well, now we know where the marketing guru from Bud Light went after that fiasco.

Posts: 1294 | Larry Ramsell - 9/22/2023 11:12 AM One has to wonder what they are trying to teach kids, or perhaps they don't care as long as they sell cars. More than likely, they are simply oblivious. Their marketing people probably have absolutely no idea, that releasing non-native organisms into the environment, can have devastating consequences. The marketing people I've met in my company, and others that I have worked with, are vastly over-rated and over-compensated.

Location: On the O | In Chinese Buddhism, the tradition of Fang Sheng traces its origins back to at least the sixth century, when monks organized for worshipers to release fish and tortoises into temple ponds. Chinese Buddhists believe that the compassionate act of releasing captive animals will cleanse one's sins and bring good karma. 470 million Buddhists out there. Might sell a truck or two.

Posts: 8788 | I can see it now... Kid sees commercial, talks parents into tuning goldfish loose, down to the local pond... Kid releases gold fish, it swims a few feet and then *CHOMP!" = years of therapy... They do have a reputation for quality vehicles, but their marketing department clearly isn't thinking...
