Hey Guys -

I have a Helix 9 on the dash of my Ranger and the wiring underneath either wiggles loose or when hitting big waves resets on/off.

I know the power cord is plugged in the best I can do. Is there a trick to keep get the connection tighter?

I don't like Bird connections because they just plug in. At least Lowrance has a twist tightener.

Thanks

Do you have the housing bracket on that all the cords go in and then it snaps in place? I’ve never had an issue with of my helix graphs cords coming loose

Make sure the cables are seated correctly in the cable tray on the back of the Helix.

Same here, no issues using the cable tray on my Helix 10 and 7. Good luck

I had a similar issue with a Helix 7 and finally zipped tied the cables to the gimble bracket with just enough bend in the wires to put pressure on the cables to hold them in. It has worked for two years. I think on my 9 it has something that screws into the back of the unit to hold the cables in.

I have the cable bracket on my Helix 10 on the bow with no issues. But the guy that installed the electronics for me didn't use that cable bracket under the dash on the Helix 9. I don't know why. I ordered one from Amazon and will see if I am get it to work under the dash.

Thanks guys, I didn't even think of that cable bracket not being under the dash on the 9.
