Location: Minnesota | Hello!
I'm planning on heading out this Monday morning for the first trip of the season and am curious as to if there are any hidden gems that I haven't been to yet. I'm just trying to fish something other than Sugar, Independence, and Rebecca, ya know?
I'm open to driving a good distance as well, but would prefer no further than an hour and a half.

Yep, they manage it for muskies and make sure they're doing good. Fishing is still allowed, but they ask that people use "techniques that don't stress" the fish too much. |

| There are many places to fish, but harder to find a quiet place to fish. Poke around you may find some. |

| Depending on where you are in/around the cities, the Lincoln Lakes may just scrape within your requirements. Alexander has the better reputation between it and Shamineau. To the North you've got East and West Rush in Chisago County along with Cross Lake (Pine County). Waconia is stocked too, along with its bigger sister, Minnetonka. |

| Be careful if parking at the west access on Rush. There have been break-ins there in the past. |
